Heavy rain falls damaged Beliatta –Hakmana main road.

Due to a Heavy rain falls during last night, Part of Hakmana –Beliatta main road was completely damaged at the Godawela junction. There for Bus services are stopped and Government servants and the students have faced difficulties.Beliatta police arrived to the place and take necessary action to ease the inconvenience. Fallen tree across the road was removed by the villagers.

     

Another facts finding mission by the Methodist Collage at Hakmana.

A group of students from Methodist Collage led by their IT Teacher and the computer unit teachers visited us on the 26 September to observe our village project. They wanted to examine our project because their school has been chosen to implement the E-village concept by the Secondary Education Modernization Project in the Ministry of Education. They arrived to our school at about 9am. Our students and the Principal welcomed them

 

Construction commenced for new Computer Lab.

Construction process of donated Computer Lab by East West Information System has been started..The room was given by the Chief Incumbent of the Nihiluwa Ashwaththaramaya Temple.All the equipments for this lab will be provided by the Ewis.This will help us to strength our duties for nihiluwa Evillage .

 

Three Day Workshop by Students from UCSC

Three Days workshop is being underway at our computer lab with the help from Students of University of Colombo School of Computing. Five students from Computer Society University of Colombo (Comp Soc) reached to nihiluwa on 16 September .This workshop mainly focus on Students who follow ICT as a O/L subject.

 

Mobile computer training Bus arrived to Nihiluwa

ASB The NGO based in Hambantota has sent their Mobile computer training Bus to Nihiluwa Evillage .They are conducting free training session for villagers and for school leavers on every Sundays.This Bus included well equipped computer lab and this programme was coordinated by the Divisional Secrateriat at Beliatta.

Equipments from Secondary Education Modernization Project

A laptop and the Multi-Media projector have been donated by the Secondary Education Modernization Project of the Ministry of Education.To strength Evillage duties SEMP has took this step.We appreciated this donations.

Facts finding mission by Kothalawalapura School,Rathmalana.

A group of students from Kothalawalapura School led by their Principal and the computer unit Teachers visited us on 30 th June to observe our village project. Their school has been chosen to implement the Evillage concept by the Secondary Education Modernization Project in the Ministry of Education. So that they want to examine  our project. They arrived to our school at about 9 am. Our students and the Principal welcomed them.

We initiated the program to increase ICT ability among students and the school leavers. We trained nearly 300 students using this lab.We are the only one school in Tangalle Educational Zone to having a daily updating web site.Now we have to find the funds for our electricity bills. Past years it have been paid by the Secondary Education Modernization Project .Now we want these students to keep their works continue.Kind Donors can help us to pay our electricity bills.Pleas feel free to send an email to
