<description>Sri Lankan three-wheeler guys are not &quot;Wasting their money&quot;. they are decorating something that is theirs, just because they like it. Do you like if all houses were painted white? or if everyone wore the same colored clothes? you probably don&#039;t. people generally don&#039;t. How boring would life be if everyone was exactly the same.

Uniformity is a sign of tyranny, free people will never keep things exactly the same. They will experiment, innovate and discover. and that&#039;s what you have in the &quot;auto rickshaw&quot; trade in India - Tyranny, plain and simple.

The fees are set by the government, the colors are set by the government, even the uniform they wear. Sri Lanka on the other hand has a complete absolute freedom when it comes to the auto-rickshaw (3-wheeler) trade, that&#039;s why 3-wheeler&#039;s here work, while in India it sucks.

Like one of my friends put it, &quot; In Sri Lanka you put one hand and 10 3-wheler buggers would come, in India you have to put your hand 10 times to get one guy&quot;.</description>

		<description>Quote
There is a standard extant for Sinhala described in A Standard Code for Information Interchange in Sinhalese by V.K. Samaranayake and S.T. Nandasara (ISO-IEC JTC1/SCL/WG2 N 673, Oct. 1990). The codinproposed in it was found to be an inadequate basis for a modern, computer-based interchange code, though it is adequate to handle thecapabilities of a Sinhala typewriter for representing contemporary colloquial Sinhala. In addition, the document is ambiguous as to coding order — presumably, given the graphic decomposition
in the code set, the text stream is to be coded in visual, not phonetic order.
An additional problem is that there is no provision to handle exceptional cases. For example, RA U/UU is, as is common in the Brahmi family, written in a non-standard way.
